When this happens, have no fear, the power broom is here! This tool is used not only for new installations but also to maintain older turf. This may affect the overall appearance of the project and might even make the turf look matted and/or shiny. Over time, all of the traffic or just gravity itself will force the grass blades to fall to the side in some cases more than others. This power broom will erect any flat turf fibers and allow the sand infill to sink down in between each grass blade creating support and ballast for the project. The power broom is gas-powered and rotates very aggressively, doing all the hard work so that you don't have to. This is best accomplished with the power broom. The drop spreader is used for a quick and even spreading of the infill on top of the surface but once the sand infill is spread on top of the turf, the grass blades need to be groomed and brushed for the sand infill to sink down in between the grass fibers and into the turf. To complete a successful installation, the last step is to top-coat the whole artificial turf surface with a sand infill.
